In the tweet, Norman expressed how close Australia is to his heart. He was born there and won his first professional events on the grounds of the country. Therefore, choosing the first event was beyond happy for the hall of fame former golfer. He also added that it was fitting to be bringing LIV Golf to South Australia in 2023. However, the golf fans swamped the comments section, appreciating that the decision was not about himself. We know Norman for being self-centered and making all the decisions for his benefit. However, after the latest tweet, fans are happy that he did not make it about himself but his country.
From the start of my family’s journey to Australia on my father’s side via Port Lincoln, to my first professional win as a young 21-year old Queenslander at the 1976 West Lakes Classic, it is only fitting to be bringing @LIVGolfInv to South Australia’s #TheGrangeGolfClub in 2023 pic.twitter.com/1D2SDcO6Qo

Except some. Even though it was patriotism, but some fans found the tweet to be about him. However, some fans found the tweet to be ashamed. According to them, Norman should not be proud of it but, instead, be ashamed. But, on the other hand, some fans were pleased with the new events and excited about LIV 2023.
