KENNESAW, Ga. – Kennesaw State head coach Bryant Odom announced the signings of Hunter Gillard, Joshua Todd and Evan Buddenhagen Wednesday. Gillard will join the team in January while Todd and Buddenhagen will arrive at KSU in August 2023.

He also placed fourth at the 2022 Tasmania Junior Masters and ninth at the 2022 South Australian Junior Amateur.

“It has been a pleasure getting to know Hunter and his family during the recruiting process,” Odom said. “His personality and golf game could not be a better fit for the KSU men’s golf program. He’s been ranked highly in the Australian National Junior rankings for the past two years, and his play in national junior events has been outstanding. We cannot wait to get him on campus in January and have him in the lineup for the spring events.”

Todd joins KSU from Sydney, Australia. He attends Randwick Boys High School. He is ranked seventh in the Australian Junior Boys rankings. He was captain of the victorious New South Wales State Junior Team at the Australian Junior Interstate Series and of the Australian Junior Nomads team. He is a member of the Australian All Schools National Team.

“Every person we talked to with influence in the Australian golf scene had nothing but praise for Joshua and his character as a person,” Odom said. “This is evidenced by his selection as captain of numerous state and national junior teams. He’s posted consistently high finishes in all his events and his dedication to the game and his own development looks to be second to none. We’re convinced he’s going to be a phenomenal teammate and player for this squad.”

Buddenhagen comes to Kennesaw from Gloucester, Ma. where he is enrolled at Pingree School. He spent his first three years of high school at IMG Academy in Florida. He is currently the No. 4-ranked player in Massachusetts. He has 73.68 scoring average on the Hurricane Junior Golf Tour including three wins. “Evan is a highly talented athlete who loves to work hard and compete on and off the course, ” Odom added. “After attending IMG Academy in Florida for early high school years, Evan decided to return home to his local school for senior year. I’ve gotten to know Evan’s family throughout the recruiting process and couldn’t be happier with their character and type of player he will bring to the program.”

KSU will take a break this winter before returning to action on Feb. 11-12, 2023 at the Vystar Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
